BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 46-53 degrees; 8.23 feet below pool. Bass are slow to 6 pounds in 3-8 feet of water on squarebills and on jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad drifting or jug lines.

GRANBURY

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 2.16 feet below pool. Water temperatures have rebounded to the middle 50s, but are sure to fall again some. Striped bass to 12 pounds have been good on jigs and shad midlake and on the lower ends. Crappie anglers continue to catch numerous fish on small jigs fished near structure and deeper docks. Some bigger blue catfish to 30 pounds are possible on cut shad fished on shallow flats adjacent to creek channels midlake. Some sand bass catches have been reported on the lower ends under the birds and some catches continue on the upper ends neat Tin Top. Largemouth bass to 5 pounds are good near main lake points on soft plastics and have been better on the warmer parts of the day.

POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 5.88 feet below pool. Striped bass fishing is off the charts good in 18-28 feet of water. Live bait has the best bite, but deadsticking is producing bites too. Sand bass are amazing right now in 20-28 feet of water. Small live bait and smaller jigs are the preferred baits. Catfish are steady to slow fishing cut shad on bottom in shallow water, 2-10 feet is the best bet. Water clarity is staying steady at 2-4 feet of water. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 52 degrees; 9.08 feet below pool. Target catfish in deeper water with cut baits. Fish are deep chasing the shad. Report by Jeffery Sojourner, Sojourner Fishing LLC.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 50 degrees; 7.33 feet below pool. Crappie are fair at the Crappie House on jigs and live minnows. Catfish are slow off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are fair on rocks near the dam fishing slow moving crankbaits and spinnerbaits.

WHITNEY

GREAT. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 6.96 feet below pool. The warming weather forecast has the fish spread. Crappie are roaming in the creek channel suspending close to dropoffs or main lake points using crappie jigs paired with a 1/16 ounce eye hole jig.
