Dr. Malcolm Cross presented a program on the Smithsonian Institute to the Nov. 20 meeting of the Woman’s Thursday Club, hosted by Gayle Crouch.

The Smithsonian, a center for learning and research in Washington, D.C., was founded by James Smithson, an Englishman who had never visited the United States.
