Dublin Code Enforcement Keith Riley wished to thank all of the people who assisted in the June 4 Clean-Up event.
The event drew 35 citizens and city workers to assist as two and a half trash trucks were filled with unneeded items being disposed of by Dublin residents. Riley also reported the disposal of “a great deal of brush.” Riley said the public works being open twice per month has helped in the disposal of a lot of rubbish throughout the year. (The yard at 602 N. Norton is open from 8 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturday of each month.)
Dublin Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts also helped and Dublin Rotary Club donated $500 for the event.
Waste Connections was also on location and helped with unloading.
“Thank you to all that participated,” said Riley. “Next year’s event will be in the same location [the 100 block of N. Park Street) on April 15.”
