Comanche County Junior Livestock Show It is time for the Comanche County Junior Livestock Show. We need to do all we can to encourage young people to be involved with agriculture, so be sure to come out and support the youth that will be showing their animals. This year the show will run from Saturday January 11th until Monday, January 13th with the Premium Sale being held on Thursday evening, January 16th.

The show will begin on Saturday morning with the check-in of all sheep and goats from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. The show will start at 10 a.m. and go in the following order: Breeding Sheep, Market La.m.bs, Breeding Meat Goats, and Market Goats. Ag Mechanics check-in will be from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. with judging beginning at 9:00 a.m. Horse checkin will be from 1:00 P.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. The horse show will start after check-in, hopefully at 2:30 p.m.

On Sunday January 12th, check in for beef heifers and steers will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m, with the show starting at 11:30 a.m.. Rabbit checkin will be at 2:00 p.m. and the show will start at 3:00 p.m.. Check-in for the market and breeding swine will be Sunday evening from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.. The market and breeding swine show will be on Monday January 13th starting at 9 a.m.

There will be a catered supper for buyers on Thursday, January 16th at 5:30 at Evans Angus Sale Facility. Following supper, the Premium Sale will begin at 6:30 p.m.

This is an excellent opportunity to come out and see some excellent livestock and kids. These youth will be the future of agriculture and Comanche County so be sure to come out and support them.
