Officals named

Dollars aid Dublin

Dublin Dollars gift cards were handed out to 100 Dubliners May 1with the cooperation of the Love Basket Food Pantry as part of an anonymous donation of $25,000 to the Dublin Dollars Program in an effort to benefit Dublin businesses and residents hurting during the COVID-19 pandemic Masked volunteers and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Luanne Schexnider posed to mark the occasion.

Group fills mask needs

Volunteers cut fabric which are stitched to elastic bands to make masks for local businesses and organizations that were delivered through the Facebook group, Face Masks for Erath. The group was very active through the first months of the pandemic with volunteers picking up fabric, stitching together protective facemasks for those who had to work in the public sphere and dropping them off for those in need.

DHS graduates on Tarleton field

Tarleton State University partnered with Dublin ISD to allow the DHS Class of 2020 to hold its graduation ceremony at Tarleton’s football stadium providing enough spacing to fulfill social distancing guidelines.

Erath joins cities in protest

Hundreds chanted “Black Lives Matter” as they marched in protest during a June 2 event in Stephenville. The march was preceded by 40 minutes of speeches promoting peace under the Jaycee Park pavilion, where the march began.

Summer Celebration returns

Dublin streets and businesses got a nice share of visitors June 12 as the Summer Celebration was held bringing with it Market Days, sidewalk sales, a bike ride, the Hearts Home Reunion, a museum crawl/scavenger hunt and much more.
