Hamilton Herald-News

As of Oct. 20 Hamilton Independent School District has discontinued remote learning. Superintendent Clay Tarpley said after a review of student attendance and grades “the data revealed remote instruction has not been successful for many of our students. The added burden of teaching both face to face and remote students is not in the best interest of all students.” Tarpley said that COVID-19 guidelines will be followed when students return to school and recommends Texas Virtual Tech Academy, homeschooling or transferring to a different school for parents looking for alternative options. This return-to-school plan will not affect first through fifth graders and will continue to teach remotely.
