Over the weekend, Dublin PD made one of the largest meth drug busts in its recent history.

According to a press release from Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray, on Friday, April 12, after an in-depth investigation into a location in Dublin, DPD executed a search warrant at a property in the CR 340 area of Dublin.

During the search, officers located firearms, over 300 grams of methamphetamine as well as methamphetamine distribution paraphernalia. Jacob Juan Villalpando, 24, of Dublin was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon-Third Degree Felony and Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group One Greater than 200 grams-First Degree Felony.

Villalpando is currently incarcerated in the Erath County Jail with a combined bond of $105,000.

The Dublin Police Department is currently working with other local agencies to further this investigation and more arrests are possible as associates of Villalpando’s narcotics trafficking operation are identified and located.

“At over 1/2 pound, this is one of the largest methamphetamine seizures in the recent history of the agency and I am proud of the hours and dedication that our officers poured into this investigation. We would like to make it known that narcotics users and distributors are not welcome in Dublin, Texas,” Ray said.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
