BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 86-88 degrees; 5.55 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.74 pounds are good on jigs, glide baits, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 3-20 feet of water. Crappie are slow in brush piles on jigs in 8-15 feet of water on minnows around docks. White bass are fair to 1.00 pounds in the lights or schooling on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to 8 pounds on jug lines and trotlines.

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 86-92 degrees; 0.11 feet below pool. Lake Granbury is full due to water releases from Possum Kingdom. A thermocline is present around 15-20 feet in most areas. Despite the hot water, fishing has been fair to good for many species. Best reports are to fish early and late most days and pray for some cooling rain. Striped bass to 10 pounds are possible on the lower ends using live bait or downrigging jigs. Crappie numbers are good on small jigs and minnows fished on submerged structures about 10-15 feet down. Largemouth bass are good to 7 pounds near flats adjacent to creek channels and near shaded docks. Some morning schooling action has been reported near Decordova. Sand bass are on structure in 10-15 feet of water and can be had on spinnerbaits and slabs. Best sand bass catches are from Indian Harbor to Decordova subdivision. Catfish are best at night on cut bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 86-90 degrees; 0.15 feet below pool. Striper fishing is good om live bait, spoons, or trolling. Look for fish in 20-50 feet of water. White, chartreuse, and yellow are good colors. Sand bass are fair while the schools are scattered and moving fast. Be prepared with a topwater tied on as fish can come up and school at any time. White, and silver are good colors. Catfish are slow to fair on live or cut shad fished in 2-15 feet of water, or in heavy cover. Water clarity is 6-15 feet of water.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 10.25 feet below pool. Sand bass are good in numbers near the island. Report by Michael Acosta, Unfair Advantage Charters. Crappie are good in 8-14 feet of water, but fish can be as deep as 25 feet along main lake points and along creek channels. Fish with a crappie rod and Snacky lures FS200 with the crappie magnet Eyehole jig round heads in 1/16th ounce tipped with minnows.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 84 degrees; 8.23 feet below pool. Crappie are fair with mostly undersized catches on main lake points. Catfish are slow in deeper water. Bass are slow on points with Texas or Carolina rigs and worms.
