BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 49-52 degrees; 8.32 feet below pool. Bass are slow to five pounds in 3-8 feet of water on the rocks using Alabama rigs, squarebills and craw colored jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad drifting or jug lines.

GRANBURY

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 2.32 feet below pool. Water temperatures continue to rise due to the mild winter temperatures. Temperatures are close to the middle 50s and even warmer in the sloughs. Fishing continues to be excellent right now for many species on the lake. Two new records have been submitted this past week a 49 pound blue catfish and 53 pound yellow catfish. Striped bass to 15 pounds are being caught mid-lake and above the Railroad bridge. Numbers of striped bass continue to be caught on the lower ends in 40 feet of water. Largemouth bass numbers are good on crankbaits and soft plastics on the warmer days as they move up with the baitfish. Some good sand bass reports are coming in near Tin Top.

POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 51-55 degrees; 5.94 feet below pool. Striper fishing has been good. Catching good numbers and good size. Live bait is the key to catching them. 18-28 feet. Sand bass are good using slabs and live bait in 20-28 feet. Catfish are fair using cut shad fished on or near the bottom in 5-15 feet.Water clarity is staying steady at 2-6 feet of water.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 55 degrees; 9.13 feet below pool. Catfish are biting great in 15-18 feet of water on shad cut or whole. Lots of bait to be found near the bank almost anywhere on the lake. Seeing larger fish in the shallows but not getting many good bites in less than 7 feet.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 49 degrees; 7.48 feet below pool. Fishing continues to be slow for all species. Crappie are slow at the Crappie House on jigs and live minnows. Catfish are slow off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are fair on rocks in shallow water using crankbaits and spinnerbaits.

WHITNEY

GREAT. Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 6.98 feet below pool. The warming weather forecast has the fish spread. Crappie are roaming in the creek channel suspending close to drop-offs or main lake points using crappie jigs paired with a 1/16 ounce eye hole jig.
