DLA delivers Christmas cattle call

The Dublin Livestock Auction is offering a chance to cowboy up and bring some Christmas joy to local girls and boys.

This Friday at noon, the DLA will be hosting the first in a planned annual event called Calves for Kids.

The barn and several generous donors have donated several calves that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to purchase toys for deserving kids in the local area.

With the potential for winning bidders to send the animals back out for bids, this could mean a very Merry Christmas for kids in the community.

DLA owners Tanner Monk, Matt Magin and Mich Magin were able to gather a list of names from Dublin, DeLeon, Hico, Lingleville, Huckabay and Stephenville. They will deliver the purchased presents in the ‘Cowboy Sleigh’ next week.

DLA said they are excited about the event and wanted to use their platform to do something help families in the community.
