Great news has been received for Dublin ISD as they have earned an ‘A’ rating from the Texas Education Agency, one of only three districts in Erath County to receive the prestigious rating.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has recently released its 2026 Academic Accountability Ratings, and Dublin ISD has secured an elite overall district rating of “A” achieving a scaled score of 92.
“This exceptional performance highlights the district’s ability to deliver premier academic results while significantly outperforming demographically comparable school districts across the state of Texas,” the district stated.
With a student body profile where approximately 71.9% of students are classified as economically disadvantaged, Dublin ISD’s achievement shatters historic state trends that correlate economic hardship with lower test scores. Instead, Dublin ISD proved that systemic educational excellence is fully attainable, driven by high-quality instructional practices and strong campus leadership.
“Earning an overall ‘A’rating is a profound testament to the relentless dedication of our teachers, the resilience of our students, and the unwavering support of our community” said Dublin ISD Superintendent Melissa Summers. “This score of 92 reflects a deliberate, everyday focus on student success. Our high economic disadvantage rate has never been an excuse; it is simply part of our story as we prove that every single child in Dublin can and will achieve at the highest levels.”
Dublin ISD also outpaced other districts with similar demographics across Texas.
The state of Texas measures performance against unique “Campus Comparison Groups”— cohorts of 40 schools from across the state that share nearly identical enrollment sizes and socio-economic demographics. When measured directly against these peer institutions, Dublin ISD’s campuses rose to the top.
Dublin Elementary School earned an overall ‘A’ rating with a 91 scaled score.
In the critical ‘Closing the Gaps’ domain—which tracks the performance of specific student sub-populations— Dublin Elementary achieved a spectacular raw score of 80. This elite score ranked Dublin Elementary No. 2 out of 40 demographically matched peer schools statewide, soundly outperforming matching campuses in much larger or well-funded districts like Mansfield ISD, Pasadena ISD, and Forney ISD.
Dublin Intermediate School achieved an overall ‘B’ rating with an 84 scaled score and secured an official Distinction Designation in Academic Achievement in Science.
In state-level demographic comparisons, Dublin Intermediate placed in the top quartile for both major Postsecondary Readiness indicators evaluated by the state, finishing 10th out of 40 matching peer campuses in the Closing the Gaps category.
Dublin High School led the entire district with an overall ‘A’ rating and a scaled score of 95.
Despite a 74.3% economically disadvantaged student population, Dublin High School achieved a perfect 100 graduation rate score and swept all seven possible Distinction Designations available from the state, including Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Comparative Academic Growth, Comparative Closing the Gaps and Postsecondary Readiness.
“When you look at our data compared to identical demographic groups across Texas, Dublin ISD consistently punches above its weight,” Assistant Superintendent Trish Thornton said. “For example, Dublin Elementary ranking second out of forty similar schools in closing learning gaps shows that our intervention systems are working efficiently. We analyze individual student growth daily, and these rankings prove that our targeted instructional strategies are yielding elite, state-level results.”
