Crissy Salinas grew up with five siblings. “We always did our hair at home,” she said. When her sister wanted highlights, she turned to Salinas. That’s where she first realized that she enjoyed doing hair.

COVID Update

Erath County officials reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Monday night (Oct. 19). Seventeen of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, four were residents of Dublin and nine were rural residents of the county.

Electronics recycling event this weekend

A free electronic recycling event is open to Erath County residents with drop-off locations scheduled for Dublin and Stephenville. Dublin residents will be able to drop off old and outdated electronics locally in the Dublin Annex parking lot (219 S. Grafton) on Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

October 12 Caller reported a dog on their property chasing chickens in the 500 block of Hemphill Report of a stolen mailbox in the 300 block of Ross. October 13 Caller reported a reckless driver on CR 847 October 14 Caller reported three large dogs running on Elm St.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

October 9 At 1:41 p.m. a black Angus cow on CR 309 was found to have been shot to death approximately two days prior. October 11 At 9:08 a.m. five dead pigs were found illegally dumped on CR 397. October 12 At 12:40 a.m. a brown car of unknown model drove through a fence on CR FM 914.

Double U Leather/ artisan Wayne Wise was joined by Dublin Chamber of Commerce members for a ribbon cutting at his business at 6782 E. Highway 6 where he performs custom leather work in book/binder covers, saddles and tacks, shoulder straps and much more.

To Market, To Market...

The Dublin Market Days Farmers Market returned to Wright Park Saturday offering many homegrown and handmade goods. Vendors also included the Sound of Dublin Booster Club who was hosting a bake sale and the Erath County Humane Society that was taking pet portraits as a fundraiser.
