Scarecrows to raise funds for library

Dublin Public Library is inviting the community to join in the fall spirit with a Build Your Own Scarecrow contest benefitting the local library. The cost is $50 for businesses and $25 for residents to enter. Deadline to enter is Oct. 3 and all scarecrows must be designed and displayed by Oct.

Dublin Police Department officially welcomed Quinten Sells as its newest officer as he was sworn-in Friday, Sept. 9. Sells’ road to this new post has been winding but it came very naturally. “My family are all firefighters,”said the Plainview native.

Tedra Zmeskal has been a labor and delivery nurse at Granbury Medical Center for seven years, and loves her work and her patients. “I get to help moms, I get to see all the babies — I probably have one of the coolest jobs ever,” she said.
