How to feed a hummingbirdFew people can watch a hummingbird without smiling. From flight to feeding, nature has designed hummingbirds to delight and captivate us. It’s no surprise that hummingbird feeders can be found in yards and gardens from Texarkana to El Paso.

Teachers gathered for the annual Teacher Convocation Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Dublin Secondary campus. Staff members received numerous give-a-ways from local businesses organized by volunteers and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Students go back to school Thursday, Aug. 8. Welcome back, teachers!

Businesses lined the walls with give-a-ways, free breakfast was served and teachers were appreciated as Dublin ISD kicked off the new school year with a Teacher Convocation.

Sales Tax holiday this weekend

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday this weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. This will be the 25th year of Texas’ oldest sales tax holiday.

Rodeo rides in Aug. 16-17

The 4th annual UPRA/CPRA sanctioned Dublin Rodeo is coming a little earlier when it opens on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17, but is offering the same evening of rodeo excitement that fans have come to love.

School starts next Thursday

School will begin next Thursday, Aug. 8 for Dublin ISD.The school day for elementary and intermediate will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. and for secondary (Junior high and high school) the school day will be from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
