The Lingleville Lady Cardinals faced off against Gorman and Three Way last week.

The Lingleville ladies host the state ranked (No.4) Gorman, scoring 18 to the visitors’ 58.

“We played them real tough for the first half but Gorman went on a big run in the 3rd quarter to run away with it,” said Lingleville head girls basketball coach Brandon Haught. “I’m still proud of the way the girls came out and fought.”

Leading scorer for Lingleville was Ciklali Rangel with 12 points.

The Lady Cards traveled to Three Way Friday, Dec. 20 where they won 50-19.

“The girls came out on fire and won the first quarter 15 to 5,” said Haught. “Ciklali and Kenleigh [Jones] really came out and played big time defense with steals and rebounds.”

Leading scorers were Ciklali Rangel with 22, Kenleigh Jones with 15, and Denise Toledo with 7.

Haught also credited Toledo for contributing to the win. “She has been such a great rebounder lately because she is aggressive going for boards. It was a big win for us to stay in the playoff race.”

The Lady Cards are heading to the Anson Tournament on Dec. 27-28.
