Body

GOOD. Water stained; 88 degrees; 2.53 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.62 pounds are fair on Hag’s tungsten tsunami jigs or shaky heads in 6- 20 feet in main lake structure. Early morning topwater bite on the flats in 2-8 feet of water. Many catches of freshwater drum caught by anglers targeting bass. Crappie are slow around docks with brush on minnows in 12-14 feet. White bass catches up to 12 inches are slow on crankbaits and crappie jigs under the lights at night. Catfish are fair with catches up to 8 pounds on prepared bait on the main lake.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 88 degrees; 0.30 feet below pool. Granbury summertime patterns continues with lake temperatures in the upper 80s. Thermocline is present in many areas and is typically about 20 feet down in the water column. Striped bass fishing continues to be good with catches up 12 pounds on live bait and trolled Alabama rigs. Largemouth bass are good in numbers with an occasional bigger fish to 7 pounds. Largemouth bass are best on crankbaits and soft plastics worked near docks and main lake points. Sand bass are good early and late from Decordova to Indian Harbor. Look for schooling fish chasing bait fish in open water. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows on submerged timber midlake. Catfish continue to be good at night on many areas of the lake with some big fish up to 30 pounds possible

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 88 degrees; 0.09 feet below pool. Striper are fair to good in 30-70 feet of water. Live bait is still consistently putting fish in the boat, but some can be caught using spoons. Downriggers are not consistent right now. Good colors are white, and silver, and chartreuse. Sand bass are still slow in 20-30 feet of water with live shad, small slabs and white or silver jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad in 5-20 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 4-12 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 2.55 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species. Catfish are slow on rod-andreel or jug lines.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water heavily stained; 86 degrees; 1.67 feet below pool. Catfish are good on cut bait and shrimp. Crappie are slow with mostly undersized catches on jigs or minnows in the brush piles. Bass are slow on deeper water ledges with crankbaits and soft plastics.

WHITNEY

FAIR. Water normal stain; 88 degrees; 0.19 feet below pool. Catfish are fair using cut shad in 20-25 feet of water. Striped bass bite is slow on live bait in 30 feet of water on artificial baits while trolling umbrella rigs and Alabama rigs. Crappie are slow on small jigs and minnows in timber in 15-20 feet on the north end of the lake. White
