The Dublin powerlifting girls and boys continued claiming medals in appearances at Comanche and Hamilton. The girls took first place

The girls took first place as a team in the Feb. 10 Comanche meet and second at Saturday’s Hamilton meet.

The Comanche finish was aided by the following strong performances:

■ Daisy Almazan, first in the 97 with a total of 470 pounds

■ Celeste Alvarez, first in the 220 with a total of 890 pounds

■ Marianna Ortiz, first in the 198 with a total of 825 pounds

■ Lucero Marquez, second in the 114 with a total of 490 pounds

■ Yosselyn Sanchez, second in the 132 with a total of 475 pounds

■ Karlie White, third in the 165 with a total of 635 pounds

■ Priscilla Perez, third in the 198 with a total of 665 pounds

■ Carla DeLaCruz, fifth in the 165 with a total of 590 pounds

■ Mackenzie Taff, third in the 114 with a total of 450 pounds

■ Madison Turley, fourth in the 148 with a total of 505 pounds

■ Fabiola Cortez, fourth in the 198 with a total of 515 pounds

■ Carla Saucedo, fifth in the 220 with a total of 485 pounds

The boys claimed eighth in Hamilton Comanche with the following strong performances:
