The Lingleville Cardinals hosted Cranfills Gap Lions Friday, Sept. 26. Although the visitors claimed the win 64-14, The Cardinals displayed some bright spots and got some points on the board before the whistle blew.

“I felt like we played our best game all year,” said Lingleville football coach Jim Bays. “We moved the ball better and defensively, we were stronger. It was good to see the boys put it together and work as one unit.”

Both goals were carried over by Jacob Koke, one on a 45-yard run past the visitor defense and the other within five yards of the end zone after a drive that Bays called the best one of the season. Simon Dominguez achieved one of the two PAT kicks.

Bays also called out a 29-yard catch by Klayson Guajardo.
