Mary Elizabeth Williams, 85, passed away on October 30, 2020 in San Saba, Texas. Mary was born on April 3, 1935 in Dublin, Texas to her parents Loyd Hardy Authur and Ella Faye Askew.
She considered her role as a Mother of three, her most significant accomplishment. She often shared with others “I raised three good kids”. Mary was first and foremost a Christian and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She pursued a Bachelor of Education degree for over the course of 9 years, while raising three children as a single mother. She achieved her goal at the age of 51. Mary was a beloved teacher in Kermit, Texas and had a very strong passion for learning. Her love for learning continued to show through in her interactions with her grandchildren, she was interested in what they were learning in school and what their favorite topics were. For fun she enjoyed watching jeopardy and expanding her knowledge on a variety of subjects. Mary also had a passion for travel and seeing all the beautiful sites of this world. Throughout every trial and tribulation, her faith in the Lord never wavered. Her family felt her love knowing she was always keeping them in her prayers.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Coleen Williams of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and Dan Sefko of San Saba, TX, her daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Wes Jennings of Weatherford, TX, her grandchildren Trevor Williams, Jennifer Jones, Kelly Mason, Taylor Jennings, and Kylie Jennings, her great grandchildren, Abby Jones, Austin Jones, and Paxton Mason and many other family members and friends who miss her dearly.
Mary Williams will be laid to rest on Wednesday at the Dublin Liveoak Cemetery. Services will not be held at this time due to COVID 19 health concerns.
