Robert “Wayne” Bear, 93 years of age, passed away Nov. 7, 2024 at Legacy Estate in Comanche, Texas.
Graveside services were held at Garden of Memory Cemetery between Dublin and Stephenville, Texas on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Wayne was born in Comanche County, Texas on May 9, 1931, the son of Charlie and Lois Bear. Wayne lived most of his life in Comanche and Dublin and married Alma Faye Tinney on June 28, 1952 in Dublin, Texas where they made a home and raised their two children.
Wayne was owner/ operator of Sunset Shell Service Station, Dublin Tire Shop and the Independent Trucking Business in Dublin for many years. After retiring, Wayne and Alma moved to Glen Rose, Texas. Wayne and Alma were married for 47 years, until Alma’s passing on Sept.4, 1999.
Wayne is survived by daughter, Brenda Kay Bear Allen, and husband Ted Allen of Granbury, Texas and son Gary Wayne Bear and wife Shanna Bear of Comanche, Texas, four grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.
Wayne was also preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lois Bear, and brother, Harold “Rusty” Bear.
