Melinda Lou Staud (Hodgson), 85, of Dublin, Texas, former resident of Ft. Worth, passed away on Sept. 12, 2025. She was born Oct. 1, 1939, in McAllen, Texas, to Jack and Thora Hodgson.
Melinda will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strength of character, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her three children: John Joseph Staud III and his wife Ursula Weyermann; Cynthia Diane Staud and her husband Brandon L. Boehme; James Francis Staud and his wife Michele L. Strong; her loving niece Lori Polson and her husband Cliff and her brother-in-law Gene A. Polson.
Melinda was blessed with ten grandchildren: Stephanie Kay Francis (spouse Jerry) Marcel Mittag (spouse Jenny), Sarah Ann Staud (spouse Felix), John J. Staud IV, Thomas B. Staud, Daniel B. Staud, Benedict M. Staud, Emmanuel N. Staud, James Staud (spouse Mary) and Alison Staud. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Connor Francis, Caitlyn Francis, and Mabel June Staud.
