Lynda Kay Schlitz (nee Prater).
She passed on to be with the Lord on Sept. 15, 2023.
She was born Sept. 3, 1943 to Charles and Marie Prater in Corsicana, Texas.
At the age of 3 months Lynda survived radiation treatments and the surgical removal of a Wilms tumor.
She married John Price in June 1960 and raised a daughter Vanessa and son, Brian.
Lynda owned/operated The Snak Shak in Dublin, Texas. After returning to Fort Worth, Lynda wed Michael Schlitz Dec. 18 1987.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1990, then diagnosed with HHT in 1992, her medical battles are finally over. Lynda is survived by her husband, daughter, son, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Malone Baptist Church, 306 W. Mesquite, Malone, Texas.
