PAYNE
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Dale Payne, 78, on 6-13-2025 in Cleburne Texas.
Larry was born on 11-7-1946 in Dublin Texas. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he received a purple heart. Larry was later in the Army Reserve in the mid 80’s.
Larry was employed by Lockheed-Martin and Bell Helicopter. Larry enjoyed Animal husbandry, woodworking and painting on various mediums.
Larry is survived by his wife Mary Payne of Joshua, three brothers Tommy, Darrel and Benny Payne, son Landon Gregory and Daughter Leisha Miller, adoptive children Marci Floyd, Mike Payne, Cynthia Payne, and Craig Payne. Seventeen beloved Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Larue Payne, Sister Orva Janis Payne and wife Melinda Payne.
A celebration of life is scheduled for July 19, 2025 1 pm at Stephenville First Baptist church 334 W Green St. Fellowship Hall Stephenville Texas.
There will be a military graveside memorial service on July 22, 2025 1 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas TX. Participants will need to arrive at 12:30 p.m. and line up to be escorted at 12:45 p.m. to Lane 4.
