Several Dublin lifters medaled while the girls placed third as a team at the Comanche meet Thursday, Feb. 9.
Placing high at the meet were: ■ Mariana Ortiz, 1st in the girls’ 198 class with a total lift of 930 pounds (350 in squat, 240 in bench and 340 in dead lift)
■ Cameron Patton, 2nd in the boys’ 132 weight class with a total lift of 1,000 pounds (345 in squat, 275 in bench and 380 in dead lift)
■ Elijah Gonzales, 2nd in the boys’165 with a total of 1,180 (475 in squat, 255 in bench and 450 in dead lift)
■ Sandra Vazquez, 2nd in the girls’ 114 with a total of 470 (185 in squat, 85 in bench and 200 in dead lift)
■ Yovanni Ortiz, 3rd in the boys’ 114 with a total of 500 (175 in squat, 115 in bench and 210 in dead lift)
■ Lizveth Cervantes, 3rd in the girls’ 114 with a total of 465 (175 in squat, 100 in bench and 190 in dead lift)
