The Bosque River Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will have their first meeting of the 20222023 season on Tuesday, September 13 at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Stephenville. Members are asked to bring a family heirloom with a written description.
Everything will be placed on a table for everyone to see and discuss together. Members will be asked to volunteer for such opportunities as encouraging students to enter the essay contest, distribute cards with the words to the pledge of allegiance to the Texas flag, and giving programs on Texas history to various organizations.
New members to be inducted include: Cyndi Guinn, Ruby Turner, Betty Kirkland, Cynthia Cork, Sarah Jane Miller and transfer Laurie Matthews.
