Children’s educational program with UNT Aug. 18

The Dublin Public Library will be hosting a children’s educational program in conjunction with the University of North Texas Health and Science Center at Fort Worth.

The program “Microbes that Call you Home” will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 open to kids ages 5-11 years old.

The free program will be 30-45 minutes long and discuss all kinds of fun germ knowledge.

 

Comanche Museum to host kids day

The Comanche County Historical Museum is pleased to announce “Kids’ Day at the Museum” to be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 13.

The theme is “Bugs, Beetles, Butterflies and Birds”.

There will be special guests sharing pictures of nature as well as real beetles. In addition the museum is excited to have Deborah Nowlin Keith as their storyteller.

Families are welcome. Admission is by donation.

The Comanche County Historical Society and Museum, Inc. is located at 402 Moorman Road in Comanche west of Bayer Motor Company. The museum hours are Wednesday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Market Days returns Aug. 20

Plan on the Dublin Market, Aug. 20, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m, Wright Park. There will be a bunch of vendors, with some new ones. There’ll be produce, jams, jellies, salsas, and more. Fresh breads, cookies, and treats galore. Plus wearables, giftables, and fun things to see—for big guys, mommas, down to the wee. Dublin Market Days in Wright Park, Aug. 20. Come early.

 

Voter Registration opportunity at Market Days

Register to vote—or update your voter residence information. There will be a voter registration table set up at the Dublin Market, August 20, Wright Park, for Erath County residents. New voters can register at 17yrs, 10 mo. age. Don’t put it off, feel secure in your status this fall.
