An officer checked on a stranded motorist in the 700 block of North Camden that ran out of gas. They were able to get the truck out of the roadway and to a gas pump.
A person reported items stolen out of her truck in the 200 block of Blackjack.
A person called about a dog under her food truck needing medical attention. The call was referred to animal control to have the dog checked on.
A driver on U.S. 377 South was cut off by another driver who then slammed on their brakes and used a profane hand gesture.
An individual reported that several items had been stolen from his residence in the 900 block of Preston the night before.
July 12
A reckless semi pulling a trailer with no lights and an unsecured load was reported on North Patrick Street.
A reckless driver in a tan Tahoe on U.S. 377 was reported heading south. Officers located the vehicle failing to maintain a lane, then swerving off the roadway then hitting a highway sign and then coming to a stop in the bar ditch. Cindy Duran was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
July 13
A person reported there was a possible oil spill in the 900 block of North Patrick.
July 14
A motorcycle accident was reported at Bigs.
A reporting person stated her child was having a meltdown over being struck by a piece of lettuce.
July 15
An officer checked on an open door in the 300 block of East Liveoak.
July 16
A reporting person said that his neighbor’s tree fell on his property during a storm and his neighbor is refusing to do anything about it.
A person reported a vehicle being towed with no driver in the towed vehicle on County Road 304.
A welfare check was requested on the person’s mother since she has not been able to make contact with her. Reporting person’s mom had been taken to the ER and didn’t let anyone know.
A homeless person at the post office needed assistance. Officer provided help.
A welfare check was requested on a reporting person’s dad since she had not been able to contact him all day and he did not come to the door when she went by. Officers came in contact with him and everything was fine.
Stephenville PD was searching for a reckless driver on U.S. 377 and the license plate came back to an address in Dublin. The vehicle was last reported on Washington heading westbound. Unable to locate.
July 17
A report of a busted water pipe on West Elm Street behind Thompson Meat Processing was made. The officer located the water line and notified public works.
July 18
A reporting person at Brookshire Brother’s requested a welfare check for a lady who had been sitting in the rocking chairs out front for awhile. She was waiting on someone she met on the internet for a ride. The officer was able to convince her to go sit in her house where it was cool.
A person reported that someone sold his property in Mexico using fake documents and the documents could be traced back to Dublin.
A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 377 South passing the Red Barrell and unable to maintain a lane.
July 19
Two horses were in someone’s yard on North Davies and the person does not know who they belong to.
A 911 hangup call was reported in the 300 block of Comanche and officers made contact. It was an accidental call from a child.
July 20
A reporting person’s daughter was in a car accident and the car seat was in the car. The daughter was still in the hospital and the reporting person was searching for an infant car seat that could be borrowed. Officer Wilson was able to find a carseat.
July 21
A male individual ran out of gas in the 100 block of East Elm Street and the officers were able to help.
A reporting person advised they had a squatter at one of their rent houses. The officers advised the individual that he could not stay there.
A person requested a welfare check for those at the post office since she had tried to call a few times and had gotten no answer. Officers made contact with the post office and everything was OK. The reporting person had dialed the wrong number.
A neighbor’s dog was at the door howling and wanting inside the house in the 500 block of Park Street.
There was a report of cows out at Bradberry’s. An officer checked the area and could not locate the cows.
Officers checked on multiple individuals at the basketball court at the park.
July 22
A neighbor’s storm window was open in the 600 block of Ireland. An officer checked the home and everything was OK.
A welfare check was requested on her grandma since the grandchild could not make contact with her. She has cancer and falls a lot. An officer made contact with her and she advised that she couldn’t get the phone to dial out.
July 23
An officer met with a custodian at the high school regarding a deer that was shot on the football field.
July 24
A report was made regarding loud music in the 300 block of Private Road 1610. An officer made contact with the subject and they agreed to turn the music down.
A reporting person called about an orange tanker truck swerving all over on Hwy. 6 West. An officer made contact and the driver advised he had a minor distraction inside the cab.
