Bobcat pounces on Erath expansion

Dublin Native Toby Henson knows quality machines since he has been involved in equipment rentals since the late ‘90s.

With that experience, he eagerly submitted an application when he heard that a Bobcat dealer was coming into Erath County and needed a branch and rental manager.

“[Bobcats] were without a doubt the best machines we rented,” Henson said of the brand, further touting the company as the originator of several types of machines.

Henson said the brand’s reputation comes from their durability and he has tested it first-hand.

“We have one that we have put a lot of hours on,” he said.

The new location, part of the Bobcat of North Texas DFW chain, offers the full line of equipment including zero-turn lawnmowers, compact track loaders, skid steer loaders, UTVs and mini excavators. They can even order large equipment like forklifts.

“[The company] realized how many people were moving here and wanted to set up a place to serve them,” said Henson, emphasizing that the range of products can assist land owners with both small and large plots. There are also many options like heated seats and touch screen displays.

The Stephenville branch also offers both field and in-house service and parts to equipment both new and old, thanks to veteran service manager Paul Starr and veteran parts manager Tyler Gutowski.

They are well-equipped to serve customers, thanks to a well-stocked facility at 4530 US Hwy. 281 in Stephenville (two miles south of Hard 8), featuring four bays for full-service, wash bays, a full parts room and a new show room that was just finished.

The show room also carries a full line of Marshalltown concrete supplies with all the tools.

Bobcat of North Texas in Stephenville is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached at (254) 918-1088. For more information, visit bobcatofnorthtexas.com.
