GUSTINE AMERICA invites everyone to come enjoy 3 days of fun this weekend in the annual homecoming! (For a complete schedule of events, see the ad on page B8.)

The excitement begins with a horse parade on Thursday evening followed by the first night of rodeo action.

For all you artists, there will be an Art show— paintings, photos, and quilts are this year’s categories.

Gustine Homecoming Golf Tournament is scheduled at PAR COUNTRY CLUB. Check- info the three-person scramble is at 12:30 p.m. with play starting at 1 p.m. Fee is $75 per player including cart t green fee. Personal carts welcome. Each player will receive one mulligan for $10. Prizes determined based on number of players and flights. All entry fees will be paid out in prizes. Closest to the Pin on each Par 3 pays $25. The cookers for the BBQ cookoff show up on Friday and begin to prepare for the brisket, chicken, and pork cookoff--Jarod Hicks will be entertaining that evening. Night 2 of the rodeo will take place.

Early Saturday morning, a 7K run kicks off the 61st Annual Gustine Homecoming Celebration. The Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America will begin activities at 9 a.m.. There will be vendors, bounce houses, a Wild Mustang presentation, pony rides, train rides, a cornhole and washer competition, and a 42 Tournament. Lots of musical talent is scheduled to perform at the pavilion throughout the morning. Gustine’s famous Pie, Cake, Candy, and other Sweets and BBQ Brisket Auction is a special way to help our great community in numerous ways!

A parade will go down Main Street and the final night of rodeo will commence.
