On May 11, Erath County Sheriffs office investigators wrote a warrant of arrest for Garrett Frye for Deadly Conduct.
The warrant was issued after investigators determined probable cause to believe he shot a firearm inside a vehicle occupied by a mother and her two children.
Deputies went to Frye’s residence and observed him working in the yard.
While Deputies were approaching the residence, Frye fled into a nearby wooded area.
Deputies set up surveillance on Frye’s residence and later that same day he was seen leaving in a light colored Sedan.
Deputies attempted to stop Frye, and he fled in the vehicle, leading Deputies on a vehicle pursuit north on 281 through Morgan Mill where he was apprehended on a nearby county road.
Frye is being held in the Erath County Jail, and bond has been set at $350,000.00.
