For the second consecutive year, the Hamilton Bulldog track team climed a 2A Region II Track and Field Championship title in Springtown, claiming first in the region’s top 32 teams.
Pecan Creek Outfitters is now open in the renovated Harelik’s building on the Hamilton square, offering a place to buy clothing for the whole family and a bar so adults can have something to sip on their shopping trip.

The City of Comanche has scheduled a city-wide cleanup for the entire month of May. Comanche residents can take part in a special bulk debris collection event on May 14, May 21 and May 28 at the Comanche Animal Shelter at 901 E. Fleming. The cleanup will also include power washing of the city square sidewalks and the city pool, street sweeping and city-wide debris removal and tree trimming.

Hico High School announced its top graduates for 2022 with Brooke Smith named valedictorian and Erick Zendejas named Salutatorian.
The Hico High School Softball team adanced to the Area playoffs last week after being named Bi-District Champions.
Several Hico FFA students advanced to national competition after placing high in state events. The range judging team of Libby Barr, Tom Kuiper, Carmen Kuiper, Caroline Langley and Falyn McAnally placed first. Kuiper was also first place individual in the range judging contest. The land judging team of Caden Moncrief, Carson Keller, Isaac Nava, Valeria Robles and Reagyn Zant placed third.
