April 28, 1922 Troy and C.B. Baxter were installing powerful radio equipment to start a station. Stations were also being installed in other nearby towns to form a district with Dublin as the headquarters.

April 25, 1947 Mrs. G.L. Hollon was elected president of the First District Parent Teacher Association. Dr. Joseph Cohen, AJewish man who spent 27 month in Russia during the war and traveled to the Holy Land five times, was speaking at Dublin’s First Baptist Church to share his experiences.

50 years ago

March 30, 1972 Dublin High School athlete Terry Greer qualified for state and broke a regonal record when he threw the discus 173 feet, 3 1/4 inches in regional competitions. Highland Baptist Church announced their new pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Barnett Rippetoe. The pastor was a ntive of the Highland community who moved to Dallas with his parents in 1938.

April 10, 1997 Dublin Realty received more than one call about the cost of purchasing the high school after for sales signs appeared on the school lawn, apparently placed there by students as a prank.
