The Comanche Public Library received many guests on March 16 for the opening of its new Young Adault section. Among those in attendance were the Wells family and the Guezlow family, which recently donated $10,000 for growing and updating the young adult and children’s sections.

Kenneth Prescott, former girls head basketball coach of Bangs, was hired to replace Brad Stegall as the Hico girls basketball coach. Stegall is retiring after 29 years of coaching. He is the husband of Superintendent-to-be Shelli Stegall. Tina McLean was hired as Hico’s school nurse to replace Laerne Tooley, who is retiring after 23 years in the position.
Every car in the Hico Police Department is now equipped with a spike strip and first aid kit, thanks to a grant from the US Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
