Body

BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 2.44 feet low. Bass are good up to 10 pounds on jigs, crankbaits and swimbaits in 1-10 feet of water. Crappie are excellent on Lil Fishies in 12 feet of water. White bass are excellent on crankbaits and swimbaits in 2-6 feet of water.

GRANBURY

SLOW. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.19 feet low. Striped bass are slow, but can be caught mid lake in 25-50 feet of water on deep diving crankbaits, slabs and live bait. As water temperatures increase, anglers should fish shallower flats in 4-10 feet of water along main channels and shallower feeder creeks for the most active fish. Flatheads have become more active in early evening hours and can be caught on cut or live shad and live bluegills/perch. Look for flatheads to be holding in or near timber and around rock structures. POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 1.75 feet low. Water temperatures have finally hit 60 degrees on the main lake. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad. Some can be caught trolling jigs and umbrella rigs. Sand bass are fair and starting to show back up in the lake. Chartreuse, white, and silver slabs on main lake points seem to be the best. Catfish are good in shallow water 10 feet or less using cut shad. Lots of eater size catfish with the occasional big cat being caught. Report provided by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water clear; 62 degrees; 1.96 feet low. Sand bass are fair on RatLTraps off points. Crappie are good in shallow water. Catfish are fair at the back of the lake. Black bass are fair. Hybrid striped bass are slow. Black bass are fair in less than 6 feet of water.

WEATHERFORD

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 3.49 feet low. Bass are good along shorelines with your favorite plastics. Crappie are good on structure and submerged brush with minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on punch bait.

WHITNEY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 2.40 feet low. Striped bass are good in 20-60 feet of water. Look for fish suspended off the bottom as those are the ones that are feeding more actively. Artificials like deep diving crankbaits are working, but live bait is preferred. Fish are scattered throughout the reservoir from the dam all the way to the river.
