Dublin Egg Hunt April 15

Body

Community members and business owners have come together in the spirit of Easter to organize the inaugural Dublin Easter EGGstravaganza.

The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Good Friday, April 15 at the City Park on Highland Avenue.

“I really just want to see the spirit of Easter brought back to such a deserving little town,” Dairy Queen manager and organizer Shanna Phelps said.

The hunt will be divided by age at staggered times to allow parents and guardians to watch all youngsters hunt. The day will start off with a special needs and sensory sensitive hunt, followed by birth to pre-K, K-3rd grade and 4th through 6th grade group.

Each group will have prize eggs for Easter baskets and one lucky group will have a small blizzard for a year as one of the prizes!

The group is collecting a wide variety of eggs and is aiming for 10,000 eggs for the hunt.

The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos as well as bounce houses and a fun truck for kids to play in.

Calvary Fellowship will be handing out free food at the event and there will also be free popcorn and other treats.

Everyone is invited to attend, organizers said, and encouraged to bring their own baskets or bags for the hunt.

Sponsors and organizers for the hunt include: Dairy Queen, Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Calvary Fellowship, Dublin Insurance, Stephenville Evening Lions Club, Titan Fitness, Dublin Vet Clinic, Dublin Lions Club, Dublin Cleaners, Granny Clarks, Dublin Citizen, Brookshire Brothers, Chigger Ranch, and Stephenville Nursing and Rehab.
