Despite the wintry start, more than 2,800 visitors came out to enjoy the shenanigans at the 2022 Dublin TX St. Patrick’s Festival. From bagpipes to beer, and from cowboys to Celtics, Dublin offered a taste of the “Tex-Irish” for all.
Success for Vendors, Local Merchants and Participants
Since the Chamber’s goal is to improve business for our community, I believe we accomplished our goals this weekend. Local businesses reported solid traffic and in some cases, record sales. Those folks with booths or food trucks downtown were extremely pleased with the turn-out and sales and Dublin Market Days was hopping. The local police department reported they were still routing traffic a full three hours after the Parade. Now, that’s a win!
We learned a great deal about what works, and does not work, for our community Festivals. One of the most important realizations is that just a few people cannot manage this event. Just like you see committees planning and manning events such as livestock shows, fairs, etc., we will be doing that in Dublin. Please “like” the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, and join us on the St. Patrick’s Festival team. We will begin NOW planning next year’s event, and we need YOUR leadership and contribution.
The Big Announcement – Dublin TX Lords and Ladies of Ardmore
As announced in the Dublin Citizen last week, and on multiple media outlets around the country soon thereafter, a company named Celtic Titles is gifting each resident of Dublin, Texas with a square foot in Ireland. With each gift comes the honorary title of Lord of Lady of Ardmore. Therefore, after Dublin TX residents step up to claim their gift (before June 1), Dublin TX residents could own a total of 4,000 square feet of Ireland forest preserve.
What’s in it for Celtic Titles? National media exposure and promotion of their offerings. What’s in it for our Dublin TX town of nobility? … fun, no cost enjoyment a n d visibility for Dublin. It’s a win-win!
Come on down to the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday March 24 to claim your land and title. (110 S. Patrick, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) You will need to bring proof that you live in Dublin, and something to prove your children live here or attend school here as well.
