The Comanche Athletic Sports Boosters, through donations from generous sponsors, recently donated $10,000 to the Comanche ISD Athletic Department. The department has already purchased a bating net for the softball team, a driveline baseball and sublimation uniforms for CISD students to use.

Christie Keay was named the new Food and Consumer Health Agent for the Hamilton County AgriLife Extension Agency. Keay graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Nutrition Science. She worked as a secretary for two years alongside former FCH Agent Sheila Ondrusek.

The Hico Volunteer Fire department presented their annual awards on Feb. 11. Awards included: Fireman of the Year Garrett Flowers, Curtis Hyles Memorial Award winner Colton Newman, Rookie of the Year Ryann Wyatt and Top Responder of the Year Robbie Robinson.
