The Dublin Lions snagged a pair of wins last week after facing Millsap at home and the Mavericks at Eastland.
Lions Coach We Grisham reported his boys played “top notch” in the Saturday home game rescheduled from Friday due to icy weather. The Lions came out strong, leading 35-7 at the end of the first quarter and 55-17 by the half. Dublin claimed the game 83-45.
Hunter Warren led in scoring with 15 points and 2 steals followed by Dalan Rasberry with 13 points, 6 assists, 3 steals and 11 rebounds Mosiah Lolohea had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals while Chris Teten had 10 points and Christian Ramirez had 9 points.
This followed 57-54 nailbiter in Eastland on Feb. 1.
The Mavs came to an early lead but Dublin started to fight back and stayed strong throughout the game, gaining and 18 point lead late in the fourth quarter. Ayush led in scoring with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists followed by Rasberry with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals and Tyler Harrell with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals.
