Granbury Theatre Company will launch its 2022 Broadway on the Brazos season with Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple” on January 28-February 13, 2022, at the historic Granbury Opera House in Downtown Granbury.
According to Concord Theatricals, this classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assemble for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it’s no wonder that his wife left him.
Late to arrive is Felix Unger, who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed, and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple is born.
Starring as Felix and Oscar are Jonah Hardt and Jesse Bowron. Others in the cast are William Byrum, Levi Casler, Megan A. Liles, Eme Looney, Nolan Moralez, and Dan Powderly.
The play is under the direction of Freddy Martinez Jr. assisted by Robert Twaddell. Designers for the production are: Maddie Almond, p r o p s ; William Byrum, set; T r e y Johnson, sound; Devon Kleine, costumes; Whitney Shearon, lights. Casey Covington is the stage manager.
