Market Days downtown for lighted parade

Come on downtown Thursday evening, Dec. 9. Dublin Market Days will be set up on Dublin’s Holiday Parade route, downtown. Come shop local crafters, creators, and producers while you enjoy the parade and Santa.

Vendors will have tables set up with lights along the walks at the Patrick/ Blackjack intersection.

There is always a wide variety at the market, always special, unique items. Shop local: the Dublin Market, downtown, 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Dec. 9.

Holiday events set for Gordon Museum

Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center will host Cookies with Santa from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12.

Good little boys and girls are invited for holiday cookies and to have their pictures made with Santa. Admission is free.

The W.K. Gordon Museum is also hosting a Texas-style shindig to celebrate the holidays with the come-and-go Cowboy Country Christmas is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. It will feature holiday goodies and entertainment including Miss Devon and the Outlaw, and original poetry by Teresa Burleson. Admission is free.

The W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center, a facility of Tarleton State University, is at 65258 Interstate 20, Exit 367, Mingus, Texas, and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. It is a combined museum and special collections library located at the site of the Thurber ghost town. Visitors enjoy interactive exhibits that explore the birth, operations and death of a town owned by the Texas and Pacific Coal Co.

Greens Creek Baptist Church to host musical program

Greens Creek Baptist Church will present its annual Christmas musical program at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19. Everyone is invited to attend.

Under the direction of Bob Becker, the program is entitled “Breath of Heaven” and will feature soloists Vicki Keith and Shirley McDonald.

The program will be narrated by Crystal and Rudy Tarpley.

Greens Creek will also have its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
