A local man was transported to a Fort Worth hospital Sunday morning following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 6 near the Double N Cowboy Church.
According to a preliminary report by Public Safety Troopers, a Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 43-year-old Rogelio Maldonado, was traveling west on Highway 6 at approximately 6 a.m.
The report indicates that the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane of travel for an undetermined reason, striking an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup.
The Equinox then reportedly left the roadway and struck a fence.
Maldonado was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the pickup, Hilario Garcia, 17, and two juvenile passengers were not injured, according to DPS..
