Body

A new exhibit at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council (CTFAC) will feature a variety of artwork by local Art Instructor, Opal Black and her students.

Opal’s class met each Thursday at CTFAC throughout the year, creating over one hundred pieces of art that will be showcased for this exhibit.

The exhibit is comprised of original works of art by Opal and her student artists, Beverly Gillespie, JoEllen Miller, Audrey Caylor, Pat Sharp, Peggy Tullos, Sherre West, Rebecca Stephens,

Brie Shernisky, Cheryl Dunnells and JoAnn Shulze. Black said of her class and students “the joys of teaching these many years have been so many. Friendships have been formed and the challenge of keeping classes fresh and inspiring, has kept me reaching and stretching my own abilities. My students have blessed my life”.

“The Works of Opal Black and Students” is open now through December 30th at the CTFAC River North Gallery with a reception highlighting all the artists scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The River North Gallery is located at 204 River North Blvd, Stephenville. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
