Did you know that Erath County has an Explorer Post? The Erath County Law Enforcement Explorers Post 918.
The Erath County Law Enforcement Explorers is open to anyone, male and females, 14 to 20 years old, with an interest in pursuing a career in Law Enforcement and first responder.
This will assist them in learning the skills that will be needed when attending a law enforcement academy and with the hope that they would return to Erath County as a Texas Peace Officer. The Erath County Law Enforcement Explorer Post 918 was started in 2018 with Deputy Scott Daily – Coordinator/ Advisor, Deputy Thomas Yoder – Advisor and Jailer James Dunbar – Advisor.
The Erath County Law Enforcement Explorers assisted at the Sheriff’s Office table during the Safe Trick R’ Treat and on Saturday, November 6th from 7 am to 11 am they will be at Cars and Coffee at the Courthouse Square selling raffle tickets ($5 each or 5 for $20), with lots of great prizes, and having a bake sale to raise money for competitions, training and other equipment needed.

The Erath County Law Enforcement Explorers Post 918 is a Boy Scouts of America Post and hosted by the Erath County Sheriff’s office to assist with the training of the Explorers. Advisors for the Explorers are Erath County EMC Cyndi Smith – Coordinator/Advisor and Jailer James Dunbar – Advisor.
