Hico High School senior Angel Aponte was crowned the 2021 Hico Homecoming Queen. Duchesses for the 2021 Homecoming Court were: Sadie Cryer (Junior), Alondra Robles (Sophomore) and Jewels Lucas (Freshman). Coming Home Queen was Taylar Presley.

Jamie LaDuke was introduced as the new Hamilton Economic Development Director. LaDuke recently relocated from Aurora, Colorado with her husband, Cody. She has worked for th last 11 years as a training and development manager but was looking for a place to relocate saying that she liked the values of Texas better than Colorado.
The renovated Hamilton Public Library officially opened to the public on Oct. 6.
In honor of National 4-H Week, Hamilton 4-H senior member Ryan Byers was interviewed about the work it takes to show his Alpine Dairy goat, Karisma.

Comanche County Medical Center unveiled its new mobile clinic recently, a brightly colored trailer pulled by a truck with an airconditioned and outfitted room inside. The mobile clinic is expected to be in operation this month.
The DeLeon Lady Bearcats varsity cross country team placed first out of 13 teams at the Brock invitational meet.

Comanche PD’s longtime police chief, Bruce Bradshaw retired after 15 years with the department. Bradshaw was honored in an Oct. 1 retirement ceremony for more than 44 years of law enforcement service, having also served in Dublin and Mesquite. Kelly Davis, who has been serving as Assistant Chief of Police for several years, will be stepping into the role of chief.
Dudley Bros., established in 1927 by brothers, Gail, Tom and Eltos, held its 60th anniversary bull sale on Thursday, Oct. 7.
