An electronic recycling event is open to Erath County residents with drop-off locations scheduled for Dublin and Stephenville.
Dublin residents will be able to drop off old and outdated electronics locally in the Dublin Annex parking lot (219 S. Grafton) on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the truck is filled.
Items will be accepted in Stephenville at 1201 Glen Rose Rd./Highway 67 at the same time.
Computer & Electronic accepted items include: (List is not all inclusive call R.A.K.I. at 713-974- 2001 or the City of Stephenville at 918-1292.)
Most items are accepted for free with a notable exception being old CRT (cathode ray tube) televisions and monitors. Residents can bring one CRT monitor for free with each additional CRT monitor costing $20 each for them to be accepted. Residents bringing CRT televisions will need to pay $30 per TV being recycled.
Computers, Printers, Copiers, Fax Machines: Central Processing Units (CPU), Computers, Laptops, External & Hard drives and accessories. Stand alone large copiers/ printers/scanner Toner and ink cartridges, Power Supplies, Chargers, Mice/ Keyboards, Web cams, Racks, Trays & Software Cages, other misc. items.
Networking & Data Center Equipment: Servers, Cabling & Wires, UPS Systems
Electronics & Gaming & Entertainment: Cell phones & PDAs, Televisions (TVs), CRT Monitors, Flat Screen Monitors, VCRs, DVDs, Stereos PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, Sega, Cameras & Digital Cameras.
Household: Microwaves, Misc. Appliances, Cords & accessories, Memory and gaming boards, Game Boys & electronic games, Sounds systems.
Tires, Paint, Light Bulbs, Gasoline, Oils, Freon Items and household appliances will NOT be accepted.
