What a great time to be a part of Dublin Elementary! Students have come back to campus from Summer break excited for the new year and ready to learn. We also see many smiles on students faces going to PE on a daily basis. Students rave about the new and exciting activities.

Teachers are already promoting student success and academic achievement. The students are so excited about the mural painted in the Cafeteria. Mrs. Pam Kasinger and her painting crew worked countless hours to create a farm scene for the students to look at and discuss while eating their delicious meals.

With that in mind, take a minute to talk to your child about the new and exciting menu items in the cafeteria. The chicken drum sticks and chalupas were a great hit!! Every Friday students are allowed to wear a hat for $1 and get a sporty tattoo for $1.

Please remember that school attendance is a necessary component of great learning. Campus opens daily at 7:00 am. Instruction begins promptly at 7:45 am.

Dismissal for Pre-K is 3:30pm and 3:40 pm for Kindergarten – 3rd grades. Please make every effort to have your son/daughter(s) in school during those times and schedule appointments after school hours or during nonacademic periods as much as possible.

Also, remember to check your child’s folders nightly for important notes and homework assignments. We cannot expect success without your support and by ensuring your child is completing homework and reading assignments each night. You are instrumental in your child’s education.

We are continuing our COVID-19 precautions here at DES. Please remember to send a water bottle with your student on a daily basis.

We are keeping student’s safety at the top of the list by applying hand sanitizer when entering the building and entering/exiting the classrooms and practicing social distancing in the classrooms, hallways, and cafeteria.

When students leave classrooms, teachers and/or custodians disinfect the classroom by wiping down all surfaces and objects students have touched.

Please be an active participant and discuss with your child the importance of social distancing and cleanliness while they participate in school.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Mitchell @ (254)445-2577.
