August 30, 1946

The new Colborn Bowl Rodeo Arena, boasting a 10,000 seating capacity, was set to be unveiled during the annual pre-Madison’s Square Garden Championship Rodeo events starting Sept. 12. A committee was organized to get the town decorated for the rodeo.

50 years ago

September 2, 1971

The Dublin Community Fall Fair reported there were 22 candidates for queen and 10 for Little Miss in the annual event set for Sept. 22-25.

Development was being performed at the Belfast addition which would reportedly bring city water and sewage service to the west side of Highland Avenue.

Dublin High School senior Minnie Buchanan was named “Little Sister” for the year by the Dublin Young Homemakers group.
