Marshall Sevcik may have only joined Dublin Vet Clinic as a veterinarian last month, but he’s a familiar face to long-time customers of the clinic.
This is because he helped as a veterinary assistant from 2009 to 2013 while he was attending Tarleton. After he earned his Bachelor’s in biomedical science, he went to Oklahoma State University, where he earned his veterinary degree and met his wife, Kendall.
Following graduation, he started work at Slaton, but he always remembered fondly the Erath County area and working For Dr. Dennis Reed at Dublin Veterinary.
A position came open at Reed’s office and once it became clear that Kendall liked the local area too, it made the decision to return easy.
Sevcik is bringing more skills and experience back with him upon his return, including chiropractic work on horses.
“I had quite a few clients in Slaton,” Sevcik said of his dealing in chiropractic lameness and sports medicine for horses. “I’d happily expand that here.”
This treatment is especially beneficial for ranch and performance horses.
Sevcik is skilled in treating all sorts of animals but admits that he especially likes dealing with equines.
“I’m excited to be back here and work with community farmers and ranchers,” Sevcik said.
Marshall and Kendall live in a country home with their two blue heelers, Jake and Diesel.
