Tragedy struck on Aug. 16 when a two-vehicle accident on Highway 6 claimed the lives of three members of a local family.
According to a preliminary report by the Texas Department of Public Safety, at approximately 10:26 p. m., a 2013 Dodge 3500 pickup, driven by Timothy D. York, 23, of Burleson, was traveling east on SH 6 near Dublin.
The report indicated the vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes of travel for an unknown reason and struck a 2000 Dodge headon. Inside the Dodge were Eduardo Hernandez, 25, and two passengers, Diana Landa, 23, and Azriel K. Hernandez, age four, all from De Leon.
The collision reportedly forced the 2000 Dodge off the roadway where it caught fire and burned.
York was not injured.
