August 19, 1921
The Dublin and Comanche Christian Sunday School Picnic was to be held the following Sunday on Walnut Creek a mile south of Proctor. The morning service included sunday school, a short sermon, a song service and communion. This was followed by a dinner served “cafeteria style.” Among the guests were Dr. Tom Bryan of Dublin and the Drs. Ory of Comanche to provided medical attention should anyone need it.

Earl E. Smith of Abilene was to be in town to lead a revival at the Grafton Street Church of Christ. Dubliner Robert Cox was to direct the singing for the services.

August 19, 1971
Dublin ag teachers Weldon Whitehead and Danny Prater completed the weeklong training of Teachers of Cooperative Part-Time Training in Vocational Agriculture. The training allowed them to lead the cooperative part-time training and opened the door for students to spend part of their school time learning in on-the-job training in local agriculture and industrial businesses.
Bids were opened on Aug. 10 for the installation of the Greens Creek water distribution system. R.T. Swilling and Son submitted the lowest winning bid for the project that included the installation of 16.5 miles of pipe.

More than 200 gathered around the Corner Lot for the second Tuesday Night Under the stars concert featuring Heath Allen and the Blue Aces, which also included Jim Easterling, Marshall Copeland and Steve Hamilton.
